Sport is an activity in which direct competition between athletes is the essential sense of the hard training and preparations.
In this strange year 2021 marked by the pandemic of COVID-19 a lot of sports plans and programs have to be changed.
This situation affected also European canoeing. The continental championships for sprint and paracanoe have been moved from the Wedau Regatta Course in Duisburg to Malta Lake in Poznan.
I declare we will do our upmost to assure safe stay and start conditions for all participants of this important, before the Olympic Games in Tokyo, event.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee and in my own name I would like to wish all the athletes and coaches a lot of sports satisfaction and pleasant stay in Poznan.

It is great honour to be General Director of the Organizing Committee on 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships.
As a Organizing Committee we aware that COVID-19 strongly complicates situation in Europe and has a huge impact into everyday life but we believe that sport can overcome the crisis. For this reason We have made a decision to organize 2021 ECA Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe European Championships.
In partnership with Mayor of the city of Poznan and City Hall of Poznan, Organizing Committee ensure the best condition for sport competitive and staying in Poznan.
